Case Study: Airforce Project – Video Walls for Club Level at a Stadium

At King Systems, we design, install, program, and service next-generation audio and video solutions nationwide. Recently, we had the opportunity to help define the East Club in Falcon Stadium, a new concourse featuring state-of-the-art AV. One of our contributions was creating video walls for the club level that provide endzone-to-endzone viewing.

This case study, Airforce project – Video Walls for Club Level at Stadium, explores some of the features this latest and expansive upgrade brings to this iconic venue.

Falcon Stadium Redefined

Falcon Stadium is on the U.S. Air Force Academy campus, just north of Colorado Springs. Set against the beautiful backdrop of the Rocky Mountains’ Rampart Range at over 6,620 feet above sea level, it’s known as one of the premier college football stadiums in the U.S. It’s home to the Air Force Falcons football and lacrosse teams as well as the site for the graduation ceremonies.

Built in 1962 at the cost of $3.5 million, it’s seen several upgrades since its creation, including the addition of skyboxes, permanent lighting, new scoreboards, and a state-of-the-art audio system. The latest renovation, however, far exceeds anything to date. In 2022, the Academy set to redefine the Falcon Stadium experience. Costing more than $90 million, it represents the largest athletic investment in the Academy’s history, creating a world-class venue.

The Focal Point: East Club

One of the main renovations was replacing the east concourse with the new East Club, creating a premium experience for fans. Completed in 2024, it provides panoramic views with endzone-to-endzone viewing, 1,200 premium seats, an immersive sound system, a large dining area, two roof decks, and a private VIP entrance. The 11,000-square-foot banquet hall also hosts proms, wedding receptions, corporate events, and more.

Within this new club, we created video walls—large displays providing vibrant, lifelike images.

Improving the Fan Experience with Video Walls

These video walls offer crystal-clear visuals of the game. With multiple displays, viewers can see statistics, player profiles, and the live game, creating informational, enhanced viewing. These 4K LED video walls also make great scoreboard displays, with some venues reaching 70,000 square feet.

In addition to premier game viewing, these displays are also used for wayfinding, announcements, and digital menus. Video walls also provide the opportunity to increase revenue through sponsored advertisements and marketing the club’s premier food and beverage offerings and merchandise.

More Than a Sport’s Venue

The Falcon stadium has become much more than a place to watch sports. Today, it’s an epicenter where cadets gather, and families and friends enjoy memorable, immersive moments, creating memories that last a lifetime. Video walls significantly enhance this overall experience, showing the game in its best light and providing real-time information, ensuring the complete enjoyment of every moment.

Other stadiums incorporating LED video walls include AT&T in Dallas, Mercedes-Benz in Atlanta, SoFi in Inglewood, Allegiant in Las Vegas, and Staples Center in Los Angeles.
